Disaster In Gerudo Canyon TOTK Quest Walkthrough And Objectives

Navigating the rugged terrain of Gerudo Canyon in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom often leads Link into unexpected rescue missions. The Disaster in Gerudo Canyon side adventure tasks players with tracking down three lost travelers stranded across dangerous desert paths. By following smoke signals and preparing essential survival items, players can efficiently return every traveler to their group.
Starting the Disaster in Gerudo Canyon Quest
To begin this side adventure, head toward the Gerudo Canyon Pass near the Digdogg Suspension Bridge. Look for Quince and Nenea at their campsite located before entering the main desert area. Speaking with them reveals that three members of their party have gone missing in the canyon.
Before heading out to search, ensure your inventory contains at least one Splash Fruit and one Spicy Pepper. Having basic combat gear ready is also important, as enemy encounters await along the rescue paths.
Finding Botrick in the Lizalfos Cave
The first lost traveler, Botrick, can be found taking shelter inside a nearby cave along the canyon entrance. As you approach the cave, a hostile Lizalfos guards the opening and must be defeated. Inside, Botrick hides behind rock formations while more enemies threaten his safety.
Defeat the remaining Lizalfos threats to secure the area and speak with Botrick once again. Feeling relieved, he will thank Link and immediately begin his journey back to the main camp.
Rescuing Giro and Garill in the Canyon
Continuing deeper into Gerudo Canyon leads to Giro, who uses a rising smoke signal to call for help. Upon reaching his roadside camp, Giro explains that heat exhaustion has left him completely drained of energy. Handing over a single Splash Fruit quickly restores his strength so he can travel back.
The final traveler, Garill, is situated on an upper ledge above the canyon path near Rakakudaj Shrine. Look for another smoke signal rising above the cliffs to pinpoint his precise location. Garill requires a Spicy Pepper to warm himself up and regain the stamina needed to return.
Claiming Your Rewards at Gerudo Canyon Pass
Once all three travelers have been safely guided back, return to the initial camp near the pass. You will find the reunited group gathered together around Quince and Nenea. Speak with the party to complete the side adventure and receive 10 Bomb Flowers as your reward.
