Elden Ring Left Haligtree Medallion Location And How To Retrieve It
Reaching Miquella's Haligtree is one of the most rewarding journeys in Elden Ring, but unlocking the path requires obtaining both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion. While the right half is hidden in Liurnia, finding the left piece demands a voyage to the treacherous northernmost reaches of the Lands Between. Players must brave high-level challenges to claim this crucial key item and access the Consecrated Snowfield.
Finding Castle Sol in the Mountaintops
The Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left) is located deep within Castle Sol, a fortress situated in the far northern region of the Mountaintops of the Giants. To enter this snow-covered territory, players must first defeat Morgott in Leyndell and access the Grand Lift of Rold using the standard Rold Medallion. Once in the Mountaintops, navigate northward past the Walking Mausoleum until the massive gates of Castle Sol appear on the horizon.
Overcoming the Boss Fight at Castle Sol
Retrieving the medallion requires defeating the formidable boss of Castle Sol, Commander Niall. This battle is notoriously difficult because Commander Niall immediately summons two spectral knights to assist him in combat. Eliminating the aggressive dual-sword knight first while keeping distance from Niall is widely considered the best tactical approach. Using spirit ashes or cooperative play can help draw enemy attention during this intense fight.
Claiming the Haligtree Secret Medallion Left
After defeating Commander Niall, rest at the newly unlocked Site of Grace inside the arena before proceeding through the doorway ahead. Enter the inner keep and ride the wooden elevator up to the highest rooftop tower of Castle Sol. At the top, you will find a ghostly spectre kneeling alongside a glowing pickup that contains the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left).
Using the Medallion at the Grand Lift of Rold
With both halves in your possession, return to the Grand Lift of Rold to unlock the hidden route. When standing on the lift platform, select the option to switch actions from hoisting the regular medallion to hoisting the secret medallion. A distinct cutscene will play, transporting your Tarnished character directly to the fog-veiled Consecrated Snowfield.
