TOTK The Beast And The Princess Quest Walkthrough
Exploring the world of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom involves uncovering rumors across various stables. Among these rumors is a mysterious report regarding Princess Zelda riding a terrifying creature, which sparks widespread concern. Completing The Beast and the Princess side adventure helps clear up this misunderstanding while rewarding players with valuable items.
Starting the Potential Princess Sightings Reporter Line
Before players can tackle this specific quest, they must first initiate the broader Lucky Clover Gazette questline. Visiting the Lucky Clover Gazette headquarters near Rito Village allows Link to team up with Penn as an investigative reporter. Once this partnership is established, rumors regarding Princess Zelda can be investigated at stables across the map.
To begin this specific mission, head to New Serenne Stable or speak with Penn directly about the rumors. Penn will explain that locals have heard tales of Zelda riding a dangerous beast. This report sends Link on a search toward the southern regions of Hyrule.
Traveling to Lakeside Stable and the Sanctuary
The core of the investigation takes players directly to Lakeside Stable in the subtropical region. The quickest route is to fast travel to the Joju-u-u Shrine situated right next to the stable. From there, players can look across the nearby ravine to spot a sanctuary camp.
To cross the wide gap, players can use the Paraglider or swim up the nearby waterfall with the Zora Armor. Gliding directly toward the campfire on the opposite cliff ensures a smooth arrival at the site. At the camp, speak with Cima to discover the real identity of the reported beast.
Uncovering the Truth Behind the Dondons
Upon speaking with Cima, Link learns that the supposed monster is actually a peaceful creature called a Dondon. Princess Zelda recently discovered these rare creatures and entrusted them to Cima's care. The rumors spread by panicked citizens were simply a complete exaggeration of these gentle animals.
Shortly after the explanation, Penn flies down to hear your detailed report on the situation. He expresses relief after learning that Princess Zelda is not in any real danger. Penn then rewards Link with Rupees before taking off to pursue another lead.
Rewards and Follow-Up Activities
Completing this quest awards Link a sum of Rupees as compensation for his reporting efforts. In addition, progress is added toward unlocking the non-slip Froggy Armor set from the Lucky Clover Gazette. Players can also feed Lumuminous Stones to the Dondons to receive gems over time.
